They say that the sense of smell is the one that triggers more memories in the brain, coz it sends deeper signs to the cortex, that smell is tied to memories from more primitive times, so the sensation of remembrance is stronger. Or something like that, anyway. That may be true, but to me music triggers more often those memories.
Like "Concerning hobbits", for instance. It brings me back to happy, quiet mornings; to a red, carpeted, tiled floor, to grey mornings enjoying huge warm sandwiches and cokes. And it seemed it would never end... but it did.
