A Toast and A Verse
I always wanted to put those two. Now I am in the mood, and found them at last, so here they go:
A toast:
To absent friends, lost loves, old gods and the season of mists; and may each and every one of us always give the devil his due
A Verse:
If a man could pass through
Paradise in a dream, and have
a flower presented to him as a
pledge that his soul had really
been there, and if he found that
flower in his hand when he
awoke, - Aye, what then?
None of them are mine, but they rang true the first time I read them, and still they do, so here they are, eternally in my waystone, eternally in my soul.
